Terms of service

Draft for review. The final version will be reviewed by an attorney before launch.

These terms are an agreement between you and Ribbon & Reply LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company (“Ribbon & Reply,” “we,” “us”). They cover your use of our website and services to create, buy, send and download invitations. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them.

Your account

You need an account to check out. Keep your password private; you’re responsible for what happens under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or place an order.

Give us accurate information, including an email address you check. We send receipts and RSVP updates there.

Prices and payment

Sending invitations by text or email costs $1.25 per invitation. One invitation is one text or email to one person or household. Orders start at 10 invitations; any you don’t use stay on your event for guests you add later.

A personalized digital download costs $11.99 and includes one high-resolution 5×7 JPG.

The price you see at checkout is the total. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Matching printed party goods, when offered, are separate purchases priced before you buy.

Refunds

Invitations that haven’t been sent yet can be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Email us and we’ll take care of it.

Once invitations are sent, they can’t be refunded, because the messages have been delivered and the designer has been paid.

Digital downloads can’t be refunded once the file has been downloaded.

If something went wrong on our end, like messages that failed to send, tell us and we’ll make it right.

Your guests and your messages

When you add guests, you’re asking us to contact them for you about your event. You confirm that you know each guest personally and that they’d expect to hear from you about it.

Only add people you’re inviting to a real event. Don’t use the service to send advertising, spam, or messages to people who haven’t agreed to hear from you.

Guests can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. We honor opt-outs right away and won’t text that number again for any event.

You’re responsible for the wording, photos and links you add to your invitation and event page.

Designs and what you can do with them

Designs on the site are created by independent designers who keep ownership of their work. Your order gives you a personal, non-commercial license to use the design for your own event: to send it, display it and print copies for your guests.

You may not resell, redistribute or reuse a design for a different event, or remove or alter it to use outside the site.

If you upload your own design, you confirm you own it or have the right to use it, and you let us store and display it so we can deliver your invitations.

Things you can’t do

Use the service for anything illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit or deceptive.

Upload content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or privacy.

Try to break, overload or get around the security of the site, or scrape it.

We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Copyright

We respect creators’ rights and respond to valid copyright notices. See our copyright policy for how to report a design or upload.

Our responsibility

We work hard to deliver every invitation, but we can’t guarantee that every text or email arrives. Phone carriers and email providers sometimes filter or delay messages. Your guest page always shows the latest details.

The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, Ribbon & Reply LLC isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the event involved.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, please email us first at hello@ribbonandreply.com. Most problems can be fixed quickly.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we’ll tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. Orders placed before a change follow the terms in place when you ordered.
